Volume
Open Gear, tap the ⚙ cog, and use the sliders at the top of Settings:
- Music: the score.
- Narration: the spoken story, every voiced line.
- Effects: the game's sound effects.
Each runs from 0% to 100%, and all three start at 100%. While someone is speaking, the music drops back so you can hear them, and comes up again when they finish.
If your version of the game has them, the − and + either side of each slider set a volume exactly. Each press moves it to the next step of 5%, so from 47%, + goes to 50% and − to 45%. The percentage beside each name shows where it is now. + is greyed out at 100%, and − at 0%.
Muting
The speaker button in the panel at the top right of the screen turns all sound off at once, music, effects and voices together. Tap it again to turn the sound back on.
Your volumes, and whether the sound is muted, stay as you left them the next time you play, in every save slot.
